Ahhhhh, so many weeks keep passing and I’m still stuck on this ONE THING with this story, and it is unfortunately a thing that happens soon enough I haven’t continued yet. It’s just this ONE design idea that I cannot seem to hammer out.
Ugh.
Anyway, I have been working out some other things in the meantime, specifically characters, so I figured I’d show some of the work I’ve done on them (there’s more where this came from, but as an intro here is a little cut off lineup XD). A lot of longtime followers will notice a whole new set of characters coming in to play. As Mika takes on the main role I want to make sure the people he brings to the plate get plenty of um… ‘screen time’ so to speak haha.

Eventually I’ll get this colored, for now I’m presently having one of the usual ‘ugh art what am I doing’ bouts that seems to hit me once a month. This started as a really random… I don’t even know what, in my sketchbook a few months ago. I have no idea where it’s going yet.
On the plus side however, this is the first of the new side of my comic Paint by Number I’ll have posted. I won’t say much about it yet, because things are still settling, but I will say one thing; this story has taken an interesting turn down the fantasy/sci-fi road. It’s actually something I’ve been attempting to get to work since the start, now it’s starting to. I guess we’ll see where it goes from here!

YAY PBN CHARACTER THINGS!
Coincidentally I have also not slept all night. Not cuz of this though, for a change hah, and not from working a night shift either lol.
I used to work night shifts and leave or get home right at daybreak. There was always this horrendous feeling about it, but there was also this brief moment of looking at the sun come up and noticing how still and quiet everything is… those moments were very pleasant.
Now I experience them through my work/cave window. Every night pretty much. YEA!
Mostly this was just style testing, working out kinks in the graphite powder/pencil/white charcoal look :)

Unfortunately this is all for now. When I come back from my trip at the end of august I’ll have a few less crazy things going on hopefully.
